3TJ fuel tank options

I've got a 92 3TJ that was imported to the US a few years back for racing. It's had a long, hard life before I got it. It was originally equipped with a BDK carbon tank that has been bashed and repaired multiple times and is no longer viable. Of course being in the US this means finding an OEM tank makes looking for a needle in a haystack a fun proposition. Add in potential shipping hassles with shipping a tank over from the UK, and a race season that starts in a month, and I'm in a slight panic. (I do have a line on a UK tank via eBay, we'll see weather or not I can get it across the pond...)

While I chase direct fit OEM bits, has anyone figured out a direct fit from another bike? The machine has a ram air setup in almost as bad shape as the tank, I'd like to retain it if possible.

It's really only the standard tanks that fit dur to the frame / airbox being unique to these. A tank usually goes from about £50-70 ish, I've sent tanks with a courier before
You could try Japan Ebay - they generally have more parts than here or find somebody who makes tanks in alloy close to you. Try a classic, custom or streefighter magazine they might help.

BDK will be expensive and might take a while to make a tank but their ram air kit should be available a bit quicker http://www.bdkraceeng.co.uk/

So, lucked out on the eBay tank, seller never updated the listing to note he'd ship to the US so eBay wouldn't let me bid. Bah.

No tanks to be had off eBay at the moment, but I did find these:

I suspect those are too new to drop into the 3TJ (Think it was early 90's TZ 250 that would swap directly) and until I find a tank I can't spend the cash... so of course they show up now. D-oh!
