I had a knocking on the front wheel a few weeks ago, so i replaced front spindle and front wheel bearings, and the knocking went for a days, and its came back, im going to check whether its wheel bearings again tomorrow, if not, what else could it be?

also, im on the 4th set of bearings in the front since owning the bike,, does my wheel like to eat bearings??

Can you assure us that the front wheel has a bearing spreader tube between the bearings ???

yeah there should be a spacer between the bearings in the wheel, this stops you over tightning the wheel and deforming the bearings , without it the bearings wont last 5 mins

yeah, that spacer is there :) makes removing the bearings a pain as you need to knock the spacer around to be able to hit the bearing..

it only clicks on certain points and i noticed tonight, it doesnt always click, only occasionally..

Cheap bearings from ebay by chance ?

Perhaps your front wheel doesn't know where to come in

I suppose it depends when it knocking, best get it up at the front and do the usual checks pulling the wheel at 1/8th turns at a time for any bearing play, then try moving the forks and looking for play at the headstock and also check your calipers, maybe something there. Finally check in case you have worn fork bushings or even a slightly bent fork leg, if it happens when your braking especially. Dont discount something else loose giving the impression of knocking somewhere else.

the knocking stops under braking, whether it stupidly light braking or heavy braking
