Is it possible to turn the shifting rod to get the shifting order reversed on my NC35 without having to remove the sidestand?

i managed it on my 35 but i had to skim the sidestand bolt head down on the lathe.

Not a problem with aftermarket rearsets. They lift the peg high enough to clear the sidestand. FYI..
