right i was having trouble getting into neutral and now i half blame the face that i now cant tell if its in neutral due to the light being bust , is this common , and is it most likely to be a bulb/loose connection/ a sensor ?

have you checked the neutral light bulb?
its a small bulb and available from most motorfactors

that would be the easiest thing

ahh awesome cheers , i wernt sure if it was like a sealed unit or something that you coudlnt get too , ive got a fair bit of work to do on the bike this weekend so ill check the bulb while im at it , cheers dude
