So while I went shopping today my lovely fella "popped" in to get me some new tyres only to discover that the numpty who sold me the bike had used a bit of cut down pipe on the front wheel instead of the proper spacers and god knows what he's done to the back cos after trying for 2hrs they gave up cos it wouldn't come off

Just wondered if anyone had any tips or tricks to help get the bugger off? Maybe wd40 for a few days ....or something better?

Usually a good few well placed kicks removed a stuburn rear wheel but im guessing they've tried that. As for the front wheel thats bad

I'm so cross with the bloke, I know people dont mention everything when selling stuff but to do that in the first place is hideous, surely it woulda been easier to actually just do it properly the first time?

Some people just dont have any morals, the first thing i do when i get a new bike is wheels and fairings off and check everything is as it should be, it usually isnt!

Try soaking the jointing face with penatrating fluid, get it up on a abba stand and open a can whoop ass on it.

Rear wheels that have not been removed for some time or lubed before last install do become hard to remove. Have found best method for the really stuck ones is too use a large flat bladed screw driver and lever between the wheel hub and the brake disc mounting bolt nuts, if you look close there is a gap between them just big enough for the blade. Work your way around the wheel stopping at each nut and levering a little. Should eventually work the wheel off. Before you put the wheel back on clean up the boss and apply a smear of grease.

Try puting a block of wood against the inside of the wheel as close to the hub as pos, then hit the wood with a hammer (20oz or lump hammer). Rotate the wheel 90degrees and smack it again, rotate & smack, rotate & smack, ect, ect.

are we talking front wheel here or rear ?
if rear i bet its been powder coated and then not cleaned up on the mating inner edge which is why its stuck.
will require an abba stand and a couple of mates.
If the front because of non std spacers, then again prise the legs apart and give it a good tug (ooh er missus)

This was the problem with my rear end when some bell end didn't cover the hole and the they got filled up.

You might want to be a little more specific about which hole got filled up by the bell end
