Not long to go until the hybrid arrives...
And already i've started looking at ways to squeeze a bit more power from the engine.
Exhaust + Air filter already in place...
What's next?
Any recommendations?
( When the existing set have worn, i'll replace the chain and sprokets to improve acceleration )

Stuff going for power, get the weight down first! You can get them down to around 165kg wet if you bin all the road gubbins and use fibreglass bodywork. You could probably get it down further if you're willing to spend money (I wasn't,so it stopped at 165!)
What exhaust are you using? A full system?

Sort the suspension - you won't get horsepower but you'll be able to use the bike better through bends and over bumps.

I've got the suspension sorted for now...
I'm not too worried about that yet
Might review the brakes next though...

Weight loss is key. It is like adding power everywhere....The GSXR600 I built was 153kg wet and a full tank of fuel. It had 120bhp at the wheel and pulled 174mph (GPS certified) Make the bike work better and lose weight then it should be more than enough for your needs.. Before tuning the GSXR only had a full system fitted and race bodywork so it was 114bhp and about 185kg ish. Adam had a bit of a crash so we fitted an after market clutch lever so he had to bypass the electronic switch which stops the bike being started in gear. But this robbed the bike of 10bhp! He raced it at Mallory in 3 meetings like this and his best result was a 3rd overall and his worst class result was a win! The bike had the suspension sorted and tyre pressures set correctly. When we took the bike again in lightweight full power trim he was 2 seconds faster than his previous best. But the bike was more than enough to win its class with just handling sorted and a little bit of weight loss.
Save weight and get the bike to handle first and foremost..... Power can be looked at later....
