Those STFL headstock stands on ebay, I'm assuming thats what I'm needing to whip the forks off the RVF and get the seals/oil replaced? What stand will I need to do headstock bearings??

I use a car jack and a piece of wood under the front headers.
Leave it on the sidestand and it works fine.

I use this method also, but slot a piece of wood between the sump and the headers too for a bit extra strength.

Abba Stand is a fab bit of kit. They also do a front lift now which sits under the exhaust below the sump. Used them to drop the forks out myself for refurb and you can strip the yokes etc at the same time. Very nice.

This is exactly what I did this winter until I went to the NEC bike show and saw the Abba front stand in use on their stand and bought one on the spot! Have a look on their website and see what you think. I've now sold all my paddock stands as the Abba's take up such little room and so easy to use

Got to change headstock bearings, powder coat wheels, caliper seals, fork seals. So I guess abba, seeing as it'll be sans wheels for a few days at least!
Ta for the ideas!

the only thing you can't do with the Abba is take the swing arm out. Then i had the forks in, so used a somewhat poor under fork bottoms stand and suspended the rear subframe off a trestle.
