carb help
Today wanting to take the bike out for its first test ride, but noticed fuel coming out of one overflow tube while cranking (didn't start the bike) took the air filters off and when cranking the two carbs that the overflow is leaking has fuel visible.
The fuel is coming from two small holes on the top rear of the carb trumpet... the other two carbs that dont leak are dry..
Any ideas
thanks

Re: carb help
A sign of gummed up jets

Conventional wisdom says to know your limits. To know your limits you need to find them first. Finding your limits generally involves getting in over your head and hoping you live long enough to benefit from the experience. That's the fun part.

Re: carb help
I'd go with the float vales sticking.
Take the carbs off and give them a clean - take the floats off and lift the valve out then clean it all. Hold the floats up to the light and see if there's any petrol inside the floats. Do one carb at a time so you don't mix up any parts and pay attention to the main + idle jets, it's paossible to get them mixed up.

Re: carb help
Good news huh
I add a capfull of petrol treatment to my tank evey so often. It probably doesn't do anything but then I only do it once in four months. If you do use this stuff remember the instructions are for cars, and their fueltanks are a lot bigger than ours
