Fork seals HELP :(

right basically, i have a blown fork seal on my nc30 and i dont know much about doing this job and was wondering how hard and how time consuming it is and if anyone had any hints and tips, as going to a garage right now is out of question as skint

cheers man :) only problem is i got no stands, a mate said i could put some strong rope through the frame and hang the front end in there and just support rear. would this alright to ?

Should be fine (add disclaimer here) put some chocks under the pegs, just in case.
It's not a bad job to do and very satisfying when all back together. Did you go for one of Rick Olivers kits to give them an overhaul?

oh sweet, nope sadly not but that does sound good tho help the old girl out. the fork seals were on their last legs so i had been told, i was just out on a spirited ride, came back and one of them had given way :/ damn you vfr's being so infectious wanting to be pushed more and more aha

Rope through the frame sounds like it could be a ballache, but headstock stands arent cheap so i spose it could be worth trying. If you where close you could have borrowed my stand.

I've used 2 ratchet straps through the frame and hung from the garage roof loads of times. Probably easier than rope and less prone to slipping. Works pretty well.

I've used a car jack under the headers (piece of wood between both) plenty of times, works fine.
My bro's suzuki workshop manual actually tells you to do this to remove the front wheel!
