the top engine case of my NC30 looks quite tatty, whilst the bottom looks pristine (mainly because it was covered in oil) - I would like to get the top case powder coated in the original colour. Could anyone recommend a good service provider with respect to finish, durability and cost

I used Triple S in Bingley for my GPX frame. NEVER again!
I paid an extra 70 hard-earned for a Cadbury's Purple. It came back fucking Bourneville burgundy! They'd got my money and didn't wanna know. The way he'd written the invoice, there was no proof I'd ordered the purple either! Complete fucking wanker!
The finish on the subframe and swingarm is sub-standard too! Thankfully it won't be seen once assembled.

Crikey every bike mag recommends these people.
So what do you recommend to do when taking it to them, get them to write the paint code on the invoice as well as the colour?

Here you go Wallie_555:
http://www.powder-coatings.ltd.uk/
He's done wheels, brackets, fork lowers etc for me and very well priced.
Ive also used one in Rugeley for a few parts I wanted doing in gold as the above has a set range of colours, will have to find the number for you though.

The problem is, when you go down there the shop is dingy and badly lit. They write details down on scraps of paper which could well be ASDA receipts. That's it until you collect and get your invoice. Not a very professional outfit IMHO.

I have always used triple S powder coating for all my bike bits, personally i have never had any problems with these guys and i always recommend to others,, and i will deffo use again? there are lots of powder coating companys within the uk, have a look online, give a few of them a call if need be. But i think triple S will come out on top?
This is just my opinion, after all, its your parts and your money
