NC30 & NC35 Switchgear.. Interchangable?

Hi all,

I think I already know the answer to this, but I'm after the left switchgear for a 91 NC30 L but eBay and suchlike isn't coming up trumps.. I've found a couple of sellers with the NC35 version and a quick look in the Haynes manual circuit diagrams suggest they're different (some kind of dimmer arrangement on the later model), but I was wondering if anyone knew whether I could make it work?

Cheers

i remember asking this exact same question last year...

to answer your question, yes you can make it work...is it worth it? probably not seeing as you could stick up a WTB thread in the classified section of the forum and have a 30 switch by the end of the week instead of trying to fettle with the 35 switch

it would be a lot of chopping wires and losing the connector blocks that join them. they are different...

i may have an untidy LH switchgear in me shed. but i wont be able to check for a few days.. PM me a reminder and i'll look this week.

No, the 35 lights are permanently on and cannot be switched off as such that area is blanked off.

Spot on, thanks for the replies chaps..

Just as I thought then really, turns out some NC30 ones have appeared on eBay since too :-)

I'll pop you a PM though hardnut, could save me some messing about :)
