Marks bike straight line performance?

Hi people took my bike out today and froze ! Went on some long dual carriageways and give it a bit of stick! It flies once past 7.5 k (the step in power was not there with race cdi) between 80 and 100 runs great! The top speed seem to be about 112 at 12000 rpm but I wasn't tucked down behind fairing, I went up to 110 a few times . Condsidering the age of bike would you say that's normal? I won't rest until the valves are checked but it does feel very sharp to ride when past idling speed so not trying to worry about them until summer.
It's not restricted with the cdi in it as it will rev round the clock but with odd engine configuration of bits of 3tj carbs on 1wg engine and other bits would you consider top speed to be about right? I think without traffic and being tucked in would see 120mph? It would definitely not redline in top but apart from today I have always been pleased with the performance!
What do you guys think?
Cheers mark

It doesn't really matter how fast you can get out the bike it's not where you ride it on the road - with a motorway or a very long straight you can get to 120-126 but that top few mph is a long time coming.

Do you really hate your driving license that much? Why not send it back to the DVLA now and save yourself a shed load in fuel money and fines
With an attitude towards road safety like yours, no wonder there's so many bike related accidents and a general perception that we're all outcasts who don't deserve to live!

Man I don't know where you ride but I have been riding 35 years with 3 points!! I ride fast when the roads are empty I cause no trouble and I enjoy my bike! When testing it out you have to pick the right road with no traffic which is much better!! I had a accident in June where someone left some house bricks in the road and I was in traffic at 20mph. Result broken shoulder knee wrist ribs all these nice people helping saying not your fault etc. I am probably one of the slowest riders on here but sometimes you need to test and if the roads are clear EVEYBODY ups there speed.
Sorry pal you won't wind me up or change my driving style, sounds like I use my hand to use throttle and you use yours for something else
Regards
Mark

HANDBAGS at 20 paces chaps
this is a fence sitter of an issue, both sides having a valid argument
if you ride at 100mph allover your gonna get nicked but some times you just gotta give it the beans
just for comparison if i show it the red through the gears then i hit the limiter (112mph or 180kph) well before i'm ready to select 6th
often wondered just what it'll do but 30quid for a converter seems allot for 10/12 mph and it might only do it the once then go boom
