has anyone had or used these fairings? how do they fit? are they usually good quality? ebay number 260881392746 just as an example

Leave `em alone............There are rubbish.......Bits will be cracked off and you have to pay a small fortune in import fees.....................Believe me I`ve been there.

I've just fitted a set and overall I'm pretty happy with them considering the price.

They're not perfect by any means - mismatched colours compared with the original paint, some lugs are missing or poorly moulded etc, but they were actually a lot less work to fit than I anticipated and the bike presents overall pretty well from 10 metres away. They're much better than the old chinese painted fibreglass fairings of a few years ago. I'll try and get some pics up in the next few days.

If you're a perfectionist then there really is no substitute for original panels (though the painted rvf tyga panels do look pretty good).

Edit: some pics.







Main issues with the panels:
- Mudguard didn't have any threads in the bracket holes (I used an original mudguard)
- The h-piece doesn't have threads for the tail light bracket (I used an original h-piece)
- The light blue on the fairings doesn't match the light blue of the original tank (I'll get over it)
- Some lugs and holes needed work with a dremel to get them to fit properly (easy)
- I'm not using the front v-piece, but I wouldn't like to try to fit the chinese one.

They fitted up pretty easy all in all, a leisurely afternoon's work.

I'll replicate this post in the sticky in the graphics section for future reference.

I was following a lad on the a406 late in the summer and his hole fairing got sucked back under the bike and went flying, he only just stayed on... He pulled over and so did I when I asked him what the hell happened he said he just serviced the bike but wanted to give it a run before fitting the fairings proper alla V piece ....

This happened at about 70mph when the wind caught the inside of the fairing that the V piece would push away, not worth thinking about if he was going faster....

I apologise if you didnt mean that you wasnt going to fit the chinese one but im sure someone on here will get the idea and just leave it off..

I've never used one on any of my nc30's, but I've always bolted the fairings on in a non-standard way with different fixings making sure it 'can't' come off at high speed.

You're right though it could be an issue.
