NC24 Front Brake Piston Sizes

Hi,
I'm Overhauling the brakes on my NC24. I've ordered new pistons but they seem to be too small 25.5mm instead of 27mm. So i'm going to send them back and ask for a replacement set, but specify the exact size and not just the bike model!
Does anyone know the length the pistons need to be? the one's i took out measure 33mm long but the metal cap seems to have lifted up a little bit (these are the resin pistons) so i don't know how accurate this is.
thanks

Where did you order them from? Can't remember the size atm. but you are correct they are the plastic resin type.
Try david silvers, you may need to give them the chassis number, unless of course some previous owner has changed the calipers but that is unlikely as not many parts from other bikes fit the nc24.

With you mentioning that the pistons are resin or plastic, I'm assuming you require front brake pistons...?
I've been rebuilding the brakes on my NC21 (which uses the same front calipers as your NC24) and can confirm that the original pistons are 27mm diameter and 33mm long, including the metal cap.
The current Honda part number is 45107-ML0-016 - CMSNL have them in stock (
http://www.cmsnl.com/products/piston-comp_45107ml0016/) for 24 Euros.
David Silver currently only have rear brake pistons in stock ...
(

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Caliper-Pisto ... 58919d9385 is probably a good place to start - new seals would be upwards of £4.00 a pair by themselves.

Why are you replacing the resin pistons?
They don't rust like steel ones do.
Wemoto sell stainless steel piston kits anyway, so do paul smeetons if I remember correctly.
Not cheap though.. 20gbp a piston (with seals)
