nc29 help for track bike

Hi all i have an nc29 1992 and intend to track her asap, i have braided hoses race fairing stickey tyres but want to increase the power any ideas from any ex racers or anyone converted the nc29 for the track, any help would be great,Thanks, or advice on anyone selling bits.........

Hi phillcbx,

First thing you do is get the suspension sorted with some good track day rubber ( Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa (SC1 front / SC2 rear) as a start. Then get the carbs sorted, then the engine...
Full on head work... all depends on £££
Balance crank =more £££
replace NC29 head with NC23 head - more compression
replace NC29 pistons with NC35 pistons
HRC or after market ECU and loom, coils,, etc,,,
.. it goes on and on, but if you have not sorted the suspension yet, this the where money goes first...

^ +1 on the suspension - no point screaming down the straight if you can't get around the corner any quicker than my dad with his zimmer frame.

I have what I believe is a CBR 600 shock on the rear and stock NC29 forks with Race Tech Cartridge Emulators and Race Tech springs set for my weight when I was 30 (back on the salads to get back to that weight...). That setup is a world away from the stock suspension. The emulators separate high and low speed compression, and give you adjustable high speed compression. I would suggest you buy them from Graeme France, as he has set up a lot of NC29's, and has some suggestions that are a little different to those you get from Race Tech

We have all these RT parts in stock --- inc. emulators / springs / recon CBR600 shocks with RT internals and Ohlins Springs - all exactly as used on our Championship Winning CBR400s both NC23 and NC29.
