Hi,
I need the dimensions of the spacer that sits between the bearing and the rear caliper bracket. The one that I have does not appear to be the correct one. Should be the same for all models that have the caliper above the axle.

I think the Carier itself is the spacer but I could be wrong.
Try PM Kayla she might have the dims and can probably make you one if you need it

The spacer runs on the seal between the bearing and the carrier. The spacer I have is way too small on the OD to fit correctly against the seal lip. I pm Kayla so that might solve it.

the spacer should have a flange on one end this goes against the carrier and the small end goes against the bearing

remember it only goes against the inner part of the bearing as this part doesn't move it's the outside that turns along with the wheel, the spindle, inner part of the bearing and spacers don't turn their locked together once the spindle is done up

The seal is so badly mangled, from what appears to be the LH spacer being incorrectly fitted on the RH side, that the RH spacer is a very loose fit. However, I cleaned up the seal enough that I could read its ID which is 25mm. Thus it looks like the spacer I have, which has a 13mm thickness, is the correct one.

This is a collection of parts that basically resembles a 1WG. I paid the equivalent of 102 pounds for. It is just a platform to build a body kit for and a few other accessories. I am fitting a Brembo rear caliper to it so the spacer width had me concerned for a moment. I also have a 3TJ1 that is in good condition and I will also be doing the same for that. The plan is to preserve all the original bodywork and mounts so that restoration to original is no problem.

Sorry EC the rear hugger will be a long time coming I am afraid.
Right now I have to get rid of this sub frame on the 1WG and finish the seat and tank cover units for both of them. As you know that means making a new support for the rear shock on the early model. It will be a separate piece from the sub frame. Then the fairing/headlights/instrument cluster and finally the rear hugger will come some time after that. I also very slow at getting things done and that is not always my fault. I live in Thailand and obtaining materials and other things is very difficult, but I will just plod on as best I can. My expertise is in fabrication and engine work not body parts. I will make the plugs but I would rather not do the moulds and finished parts unless I have to.
