Nc23 air ducts different on RRJ/K ?

Hi all. My first proper post
I'm currently rebuilding a RRK. I also have a knackered RRJ which I purchased for spares.
I found the rrj air ducts didn't line up and bought some rrk ones on eBay. The rrj joints look like they would actually direct air through the frame hole. While the K ones seem look as if all air is deflected up to the tank. Having read through the forum I see the bikes are jetted slightly differenty. The J having larger jets. Is this to do with the different air delivery? ( seems to imply the carbs on the j get more air?) I may be wrong but the J seems to be unrestricted from what some people have said. Would it be worth modifying the J joints and ducts to fit and using the jets from my spare rrj ? The speed restriction is already removed by the way.

Cheers for any advice in advance.
