Certain element of truth to it. It removes 180kmh restriction. No hrc map. The seller is on here. I'm sure he can elaborate.

That's mine. It definately derestricts the bike but there has been rumours over the years that they do more than that, without extensive dyno time it would be difficult to prove either way. It is trick, it is in the hrc manual and it's a nice bit of hrc bling for your bike

Ive never noticed that, i just assumed the the HRC bikes ran the HRC CDI.

So the SS SP bikes ran this little box of tricks your selling and the TT F3 bikes ran the HRC CDI's? If so then the HRC map offered for the ignitech CDI's isnt designed for the SS SP HRC jet kit that rick O sells but for bikes running TT F3 spec which we all know is a little more than a jet kit.

Yup its page 18 of the SS/SP 92 manual part number 30491-NKA-000 see here: http://www.akhara.com/nc30/nc30manuals/

And yes it seems that the SS/SP bikes ran this unit while the true F3 bikes had the HRC CDI. Rick O may well be soon selling F3 spec needles too as I have lent him my F3 needles to have copied then he will have an F3 spec carb kit to go with the HRC spec CDI's.

That'll be on my shopping list then  although im a little short of the rest of the TT F3 kit :(

I always disregarded these HRC boxes but it seems its just what i need rather than a HRC or ignitech CDI as i'll be running the SS SP HRC carb kit.

Are you looking to build an F3 replica or SS/SP replica? The SS/SP stuff can be found occasionally but its the F3 stuff thats like rocking horse poo!

SS/SP mate, i'll be old and grey before i find or can afford the F3 kit. I have the manuals but just always assumed both bike ran the HRC cdi. I wonder just how different the SS/SP and HRC ignition maps are?

As I say I dont know if the SS/SP unit actually alter the map its just rumours I have seen on the net over the years, needs more investigation to prove either way but why would HRC produce this box if it only derestricted the bike which is easy to do anyway?
