HI
im new and i just recently bought a nc29 bike and am currently fixing it and am new to this,
I'm having a problem starting the bike when hitting the start button it sparks and tries to turn over but doesn't quite do it (just keeps on making the same sparking sound) ,
I have already put a
new battery, new fuel pump in a new fuel filter in ! and I am in the process of putting in iridium spark plugs as the old ones looked a bit messed up for wear!!
and alos the choke cable just wont move much when pulled up and notice their is a spring on the end of it. is that meant to be their ??
any help would be appreciated im trying so hard to get this bike started
thanks

So its got a spark, fuel is getting through to the plugs I assume?
Have you got the HT leads on the correct way round?
Have you cleaned the carbs?
If it was mine and the answer to all of the above is yes I would whip the airbox off set up a fuel bottle and sqirt a bit of easy start into the bell mouths.

From what I'm reading into this it sounds like the starter isnt turning and the sparking sound is in fact the relay?? Is this the case?

I realise you say you've stuck a new battery on it, but what you're describing sounds to me like not enough charge. Perhaps its not charging, possible reg/rec fault, and when you had it running last all you were doing was running down the battery. Stick it on charge forafew hours and see if the bike will start. Try bump starting the bike if that doesnt do the trick. In the event that you get it going stick a voltmeter across the battery terminals and see how much charge you're getting, I'm sure someone on here will let us know exactly how much you should expect but I'm guessing around 13-14 volts with a good amount of revs on.
Failing that it could possibly be a dodgy/sticking starter but go with the easy options first.
