NC30 carbs stuck?

Hi all, new to the forum!

Recently bought my first big bike
Got myself a 1992 NC30 in great original condition, only problem is im on an A2 licence and I need to restrict her :(

Got a haynes manual and set about taking apart the bike to get to the carb rubbers to fit the restrictor washers.
I've got to the carbs with the tank, air filter etc removed and ive loosened/taken off the choke, throttle and tickover adjuster like the manual said, Ive also loosened the carb rubber clamps (which was very trick as you probably know).

Only thing is, I cant seem to prise the carbs away to get to the rubbers so I can install the restrictor kit :x

If anyone had any tips or help it would be much appreciated!!

I use a long screwdriver and prise them up under the air tray plate. Use a rag or something to protect the frame as you can scratch it.
Then use some rubber grease or 2t oil to help get them back on

long small block of wood will also work... under the metal air-tray...softer the better.. if your using a long screwdriver, rubber mat or good rag to stop scratches.

You can take the plastic airbox base off, it's the aluminium base plate thats left on.

brute force..

Or, warm the bike up as this will make the rubbers pliable and much easier to get the carbs back on...

I have been trying to remove the carbs from my NC 30 but they will not budge. I have tried leavering the back ones off with a block off wood aginst the fairing mount on the frame and the back left carb and the same with the back right. The clip bolts are loosened on the rubbers so the clips move freely. I am a bit afraid of leavering them with wood against the cam cover as I have seen elsewhere. They have not been removed in the 20 years I have had the bike. Any suggestions or should I just use more leaverage and hope nothing breaks.
