Has anyone seen a HID conversion kit for an RVF? Have been looking around for them but can't see to find one. The stock lights on mine are way too dull for around where I live, brighter bulbs don't have that much of an effect either.

are you running the stock jap 60/35watt bulbs?
Not HID i know, but you can do the mod that allows you to run the 60/55w without burning the left hand switchgear..

Agree with above....simple and cheap mod to add 60/55 bulbs in your RVF.
Option maybe is bi-xenon kits of Morimoto.

I have not done the bi-xenon kit myself. May consider this kit, do have xenon in my car which is wonderful bright!

I have the morimoto bi xenon in my Ducati. Totally worth it! If I could figure out a way get them into my nc30, I would!

Steve, aren't these morimoto kits available in smaller sizes so it will be able to be fitted in NC's headlights? I have a spare NC35 headlight unit I may chop for this....do you have an idea?

I have a tyga kit on, including the lights, can't think of them off the top of my head so whatever those bulbs are, that's what I'm running with.

I'll have a look at the morimoto kits and see if i can get one wired into the lights... watch this space!

EDIT: Haven't done any measurements or anything, but this will be the kit that I'll be trying out, most likely.

The retrofit source is where I got all of my hid kits from (4Runner, Fireblade, and Ducati). I think the projectors will fit in the nc30 light housings, but the problem is with the glass on the stock headlights. It really needs to be clear to work right. What is on the nc30 is not clear. The nc35 is a different story. I wish those lights would fit my bike. I have too much money wrapped up in the Silhouette upper and paint job.

Yes, Steve! Your CBR shows the new headlight nice and lovely bright, I like the smooth touch you've done with adding angle eyes. Did you open /split the CBR headlight unit via an heat up in the kitchen oven or something?

As for sharing info, the NC35 should be alright as it has clear glasses unless the NC30. I can imagine the money pit spent in that NC30 of yours, keep it just that way! Museum piece it is! Not sure what kit of Morimoto exactly will fit into the NC35 headlight unit, I just need to take some measurements to research. Any further advice to go down this route and DIY?

Yes, I used an oven to soften the glue on the cbr headlight. There are plenty of how-tos on the Internet. I would definitely suggest doing a bi xenon retrofit. You will love the light output. The guys at retrofitsource.com even have projectors for right hand drive vehicles. Just tell them I sent you!

Thanks Steve! I'll be getting into this kit coming season for the NC35 headlight. I have a local seller too that can offer these. If retrofit can offer them cheaper I'll be using their services. Cheers.

BTW overhere we have lefthandside driven cars too. No need for RHS kit. My vehicle is company car that I opted with factory toyota xenon projection kit. Nice and lovely shiny
