Just wanna ask, is it advisable for a RVF400 nc35 to be installed with nc30 VFR carb??

heard a lot of people at my area saying that it ll be more powerful and responsive.. currently running aftermarket jet kits but dun find the power amazing...

The NC30 carbies will give you better top end power due to being slightly larger bores, however I find the NC35 carbies easier to set up and give much better response in the low to mid range (for me at least, I'm not a tuning guru unfortunately ;) )

I think the NC30 carbies would be good if you were racing, but I'd prefer the 35's if riding on the road.

What ronin said.

I find that the rvf carbs have better pick up, sounds like you have an issue with your carb settings.

eh something is wrong with my rvf carb jet kits power is not there esp in the low and mid range... wonder whats wrong also mech told me is the jet kit problem..

asked before if vfr carb is good for rvf he told me that vfr carb with stock air filter is good...

as far as i know rvf isn't good with hi-air flow...

Both NC30 and 35 are much easier to setup and get right when running standard air filters and airboxes.

Which jet kit have you got installed? What are the settings? have you changed anything on the intake side, like the airbox etc?

eh my current setting on my nc35 is with factory pro jet kits with modded k&N air filter...

hoping to change to nc30 carb with stock jet kits and stock air filter...

wondering if the power will be good for nc30 carb...

And what exhaust are you running? are you 100% certain everything is stock on the intake side of things? ie rubber flap, snorkle.

I would stick with the RVF carbs and return them to stock settings, needles etc. Then fit 110 jets all round, HRC slide springs and then see what its like. Your not going to see a massive hike in power from fitting VFR carbs, you'd need a lot of engine work to see any gains from using bigger carbs IMO.

How are you judging the power? has it been on a dyno? what bike did you ride previously? if you came down from a 600cc then dont expect the RVF to set your world alight, there old hat now but NC's are all about handling not flat out top speed.
