Cam cover gasket- do I need sealant?

Do you use gasket sealant on the cam-cover gasket or should it be unnecessary if the surfaces are clean and dry?

If both surfaces are clean, dry, Undamaged and you are using a new gasket there shouldn't be any
need for sealant.

Cheers Mo. I got a brand new one from RickO but the existing one looks re-usable.

I always stick the gasket to the cover,makes fitting easy.

:plus:

just a few daps of hylomar holding it place making it much easier to get it spot on.
