Just going through a load of pics here, and found so many with my dad in.
Now i know a few of you met my dad while he was alive, sadly for those that never - he died of a heart attack a couple of days before xmas in 2009.
anyway nearly 2 years on - i thought i would share a few of these. It was pretty customary that when i got a bike he would take it for a spin up to the top of the drive - or more to try it out. He never liked jap bikes, however when i had the chance of my RC30 lent me what i needed to buy it without me having to even ask. And he always said the RC30 was the best bike the japanese ever made. fair play.
You may spot where i get my Ducati passion from.
Anyway here he is taking my first NC30 for a spin in 1997 Admiring my 916 just after i got it in 03 Admiring my 900ss in 05 Taking my old RRX for a spin in 02 Trying my first AR for size in 02 Warming up the 3XV for him in 03 Taking my old ZZR400 for a spin in 1993 And one of my old 350lc's in 95 His guzzi around 1991 and 750 sport again around 1992 and finally, My dad nearly flipping my KSR80 gag bike in 05 - pic doesnt show this but seconds before it was near vertical and gave him a hell of a shock, about to have a wobbly landing And of course this gem. This was taken around 2003 if i recall, i had just helped him get his "project" out of the back of the car. Now clearly it looks a heap of shit, and my face sums this up as i was thinking "WTF is this pile of crap" yet he can see exactly what its going to become.
Well i now own this 350 desmo and am so proud of it. here is the before and after. and yes its the same bike and even has original tyres such was the level of his eye for detail and refusal to accept second best when it came to restoring bikes.
