Finally got round to restoring and refitting my original forks on my 89k nc30. Ever since the mag feature ive been wanting to get this done. Featuring rechromed stancheons , bead blasted lowers a pair of Austin Smiths recon decals to finish things off , i think they look good. Pics:-

Looking good.
Being picky, forks / calipers are not the exact shade from the pictures/my monitor but it still looks really good.
Theres plenty of odd twin-stack and left/right dual exit systems forsale on yahoo Japan auctions quite often.
Yamamoto twinstack with yamamoto carbon cans went for 150gbp last month (was tempted myself!)
Where did you get the plastic caps for the preload adjusters, not seen those before

I colour matched the fork paint from the original. Its got a light gold tint to it. It may not be exact buts its bloody close. Plastic caps came from my stash of bits i have lying around, just thought they finish things off.

Good stuff.. it could be my monitor / photos like I said. However, looks really good.
What did you paint the calipers with?

Austin Smith, he works on Practical Sportbikes. He made them from a couple of picture i sent him of my originals. He did a cracking job, they are pretty accurate. I`m trying to find the paint code i used for the calipers too.
