Hi all,
A chap in work has an rvf with an 18" rear wheel

. I suggested changing the wheel back to the standard 17" but unsure if the dog bone is from a 30 or the standard 35 one. What is the best and easiest way to check?
Cheers

According to advice I received from Rick Oliver, the stock NC35 component is 109mm between the centres of the front and rear mounting bolts and NC30 link is 113mm.

Why not let it be? Unless he really wants it lowered then he might arguably have the best(-looking) combination of standard parts available.

Thanks Ben.
Will let him know.
@amotri - Yes you may well have a point. I was assuming that the difference in linkage may make the bike handle oddly? But if he cant notice any change in the handling when/if he goes to a 17" rear then i guess it's not worth changing.
