Read the Honda workshop manual, it's also on Dave's website that has the microfiches.

It tells you what type of grease goes where.

As a rule of thumb.

Axles / bearings use Moly grease, it's black and stinks like arse, you'll soon know if you have the right one.

Page 4 of the first chapter tells you what type of grease is what and then the relevant section will tell you what grease goes where.

There are different grades of moly grease and the Honda book does specify a high content moly grease for things like camshafts.

The general purpose 'moly grease' halfords sell should eb fine for the rear wheel bearings though. What other bearings are you greasing?

6004UU Bearings are only £5 each from wholesalers, so I replace them if they feel rough or I have to remove them for any reason.
They are double rubber sealed but you can flick the seal off and refill with Lithium grease if you want to.
I have found that they may appear tight to rotate by hand with the wheel out, as the spacer within the wheel hub forces the inner part towards the outer part of the bearing, but once installed the inners will move away from the outers to give correct clearance.
I slip a long close fitting spacer onto the spindle and torque up the spindle nut to see if the wheels spins free without roughness.

My Honda Workshop manual and common service manual says.

Wheel bearings, rear axle /hub bearings Lithium grease [high speed?]
Rear linkage needle roller bearing, swinging arm needle rollers moly grease [high load?]
head race lithium
Swinging arm 2 ball bearings are pre packed, looks like lithium.

As arsey30 put, the front wheel bearings are sealed.

You could split the seal off if you are careful but if they are worn then there cheap and easy to replace.

If they run smooth, gently pop the bearing seal out & re grease. They'll last forever.
No point changing a decent bearing ;)

I use multipurpose Lithium Moly grease for everything. Lets face it, bikes aren't exactly over greased at the factory & anythings better than nothing!
