Hi Guys,

Just wondering if anyone could tell me the correct thread pitch for a banjo switch to fit the rear
master cylinder on my NC29 1992.

Have bought a HEL switch off flea-bay and got the wrong one (even though i specified what bike it was for). Both me and the seller are completely stuck and need the thread pitch to give to the supplier so they can in turn supply correct switch.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Thanks again,

Luke.

I took this one

10mm dia x 1.25mm thread pitch.

20" wire length with terminals.
Fits most Japanese street and off-road motorcycles. Also fits most Nissin and Tokico brake master cylinders.

I have an idea mate,

remove your banjo bolt from the rear master cylinder and go to the hardware store, and try to fit it with the available bolts and nuts they have.

surely you will have the right size for them.

Thanks for replies.

Have now sorted it.

Sent original bolt to seller with returned incorrect one and he has sent back matched switch!

So all sorted and case closed!

Thanks Again,

Luke.

10mm dia x 1.25mm thread pitch is the correct one as said by PARUS.

NOT 10mm x 1.00mm Thread pitch as the original one i got.

Hope this helps.

Guys,

I need a banjo switch for the rear brake and I was looking at ordering this. It's the right size but I'm slightly confused about the terminals. Presumable it has non standard connectors on so I'll have to fit the relevant terminals to the loom on the bike?

Ta,
Joe.

Joe,

You are right. They do not fit directly into the original loom.

When fitting mine I snipped the plug of the original switch and soldered/joined the plug on to the new banjo switch.

Easy as that!!

Hope that helps!
