Nc29 spark plug holes

Are the spark plug holes on the nc29 all the same size? I ask as i tried to take the plugs out today with a 16mm plug socket, the first two came out no probs but on the third one the socket wouldn't come out. I initially thought that the plug had cross threaded but no matter what i tried i couln't get the socket out. Eventually i got it out by taking the cam cover off but the socket was really tight in there.
On the fourth one the socket wouldn't even go in far enough to grip the plug!!!
Is this normal? Or is something wrong??

I found this with a 1/2 drive socket so I used a 3/8 drive one.

I dont suspect this is your issue but here is a really easy cock up if you dont check stuff.... read on,

If there is a stone stopping the socket going onto the plug properly its a given that the stone will fall into the cylinder if you do manage to extract the plug regardless. Its a really good practice to try to loosen the plug and then blow compressed air into the plug area to blow away any stones or crap before taking the plug out, if you are really paranoid like i am then get a mirror and have a look for anything as well.
A few mins more hassle is much less than a full rebuild after fitting new plugs and finding a bit of granite fell onto the top of the piston.
