I am planning onfitting an original NC35 exhaust system later on this week. I am not sure how to fit the downpipe seals though. Should I fit them on the front pipes, then fit the rest of the system?
Thanks.

The 2 number 13 seals. Also, can I fit the rest of the system with number 7 and number 14 pipes already attached?

Please can somebody help me out by answering my questions? I am a bit worried about damaging the manifold or something else when I fit the new exhaust.

First of all, get yourself the Haynes manual as it will inform you step by the the correct way of fitting the exhaust system.
As of my findings with fitting an exhaust system. You can fit the front down pipes first but do not torque the nuts tight as it will sort of fix these pipes onto the front cylinders mount, but it would be rather easier to first fit the seals 2 x no. 13 on the inside of the rear exhaust pipes. Be carefull not to damage these seals! Then place the rear section in the position underneath the rear swingarm. Next to this is you can put the front downpipes loosely on this rear exhaust section and fit this partial in the rear exhaust section. And slightly lift the whole part up in near correct position for fitment. Remember a standard system is very very heavy! I fit such system myself by using a few blocks of wood to keep it up. Then fit the pipes onto the front cylinder mounts followed onto the rear manifold section, and the bolt, washer and nut for the rear can hanger. If all in place, then check if all is aligned as wished and torque the nuts/bolts on specified torque rate. If you do this more often, you will notice
But if more info is needed....Haynes manual is worth the pennies
