Well....not had my vfr400 for long and i have run into problems alread.
I bought a new clutch cable and choke cable.
Fitting the choke cable meant i had to remove the petrol tank and air filter box.
After refitting the tank i started the bike and she ran ok, but whilst i was trying to adjust the idel peed the idle speed cable became unscrewed from the throttle body.
What a pig of a job it was trying to relocate the threaded end of the cable into the throttle assmbly. Took me an hour of fumbling around in the poxy little gap between the frame and carb.
Anyway, went to start the bike again and now the bike will not start.
I'm wondering if i may have dislodged some dirt or rust in the petrol tank as i noticed something rattling about in the tank when i refitted it.
Might have blocked the tap assembly as there seems to be very little flow from the tank tap when the fuel pipe is removed,
What is the best method for cleaning out motorbike petrol tanks?
