Hi everyone, I have 1999 CB400SF and was wondering if the frame or chassis of the motorcycle is the same as the later models of the CB400 and that of the CB1300F. Does anyone know? In short, would a fuel injected engine of the new CB400s fit in the 1999 frame and will the CB1300F engine fit?

Hi,
the 400 has nothing to do with the 1300. The 1300 motor is - naturally - very much bigger, heavier and stronger, so forget swapping them out.
The 400Fi motor may be able to fit as the 400 engine has undergone relatively little development. Good luck finding the Fi engine complete with sensors, loom, etc. though.
