I finally got my carbs fitted back on my bike last night after putting the restrictors on, and after that I quickly put the bike together to start it, and nothing!

could this be due to wd40 in the cylinder heads? (From fitting the carbs into the rubbers

) or what? Help plesae, want to get it running asap!

Nothing as in nothing happens when you press the button or it just won't start?
Full choke, no throttle. If that doesn't work then dead plugs maybe. Check for spark and fuel.

Dry carbs take a while to fill up.
Make sure the vaccum tap is connected properly.
Full choke no throttle, crank in 5 second blasts with two minutes in between, it'll catch after a while

Thanks guys, got it started trying that. Buuuuut now have another problem! The bike only runs with the choke on, but instead of being up around 5,000rpm it sits at 1 and a half? Also loud abnormal engine noise from right side of bike, close to carbs and strong smell of exhaust fumes, carb not seated properly? Is it as simple as push some some to get it seated, or can I use some form of sealant? Or both?

I would take the carbs off and re-fit using proper rubber grease. make it much easier.

id say there were seated right, or youd most likely have a higher idel, not low.

Ok, what about the leaking exhaust fumes on the right hand side? All I've done is taken off the carbs and replaced the rubbers, and it ran fine before that
