Hi all,
Ive recently bought my first bike, an nc30. I have my test next month, and need the bike restricted so i can ride it after my test. (If i pass!) Ive been to the local bike garage and the local stealers, they both quoted about £300 for the restriction, which i think is ridiculous considering what is really needed. My question is, what are the washer dimensions needed, and are they hard size to find? Or does anyone have a suitable set of washers i could buy off them? I will ofcourse get the bike dyno'd to prove the output.

Also, i need a new rear tyre. Being my first bike, im not sure what to get? Any suggestions?

look up porndog on here. he is selling the washers you need, couple that with a £25 dyno run and your ready to roll..

tyre will depend on how far and how fast your riding. general consensus seems to be Bridgestone BT 90's or IIRC...Dunlop Alpha 10's..

Are there any online guides to taking the fairings/carbs off and where exactly to fit the washers? Had a quick look, but im still not 100% and dont want to jump in without any knowledge and get lost!

There's a guide (stickied) by Cammo in the V4 Workshop section. They're fairly easy to remove, but are often a bugger to re-seat until you get the hang of it.

You'll need a long philips head screwdriver and probably will need to order some new carb rubbers. The washers themselves fit into the groove in the middle of the carb rubbers.

Well im up in the north of scotland (aberdeen) so i doubt theres many other members this far out!
