Wish list almost done.
A set of 5 spoke Dymags should help in the looks department.
Looking forward to finding out if they make a difference to the feel of the bike.
Waiting on my RLR head to complete the package.

Ooh, very nice!
Did you have a chance to compare the weight between the standard wheels and the Dymags?

Re: Wish list almost done.
Picking them up next week,so will weigh them then.
I think they have been compared here before.
I picked up the rear rim when I was doing the deal,(the front was still on the bike).
Very significant difference by feel.
Track day on the 25th so I'll see how they go.

Re: Wish list almost done.
RLR heads on the bench along with 2 incomplete engines, the bottom end of the one that dropped a valve and one doner engine. They shall become one over the winter.
The Dymags are class.
I think the bike looks good in a useful sort of way.
They really are a classy little bike.

My refreshed Ohlins shock will be another step, over the weekend.

Re: Wish list almost done.

Running and rolling. Had it up the road to check the gearbox.
All good, the VFR first gear is a new experience.
Dyno next weekend,70+ should be well possible.
Spec so far:
RLR ported and skimmed heads, slotted and dialed in cams, new rings, bearings,RLR ram air set up,close ratio VFR transmission, facet solid state fuel pump, mechanical water pump replaced with lightweight electrical booster pump(less drag),programmable CDI running stock map +2 degrees for the moment, lightweight Racing Battery(0.9kgs compared to 2.5kgs),Dymag 5 spoke wheels,Ohlins shock,RaceTech gold valved front end,ProLite front rotors,Accosatto master cylinder, modified Ganador full system.
There's more but that's all I can remember right now.

Re: Wish list almost done.
The first 3 gears ratios are closer than the RVF.....it's just a full low mileage NC30 transmission.Drunkn Munky wrote:Tell me more about the close ratio VFR gearbox, what gears have been changed for what?
First gear is very tall but you can hold it longer before looking for another gear.
Nothing HRC except it recommended in the RVF HRC manual.
Hopefully out in Mondello on the 1st of April and if I don't blow it up or wreck it,I'll be doing B'court and K'town over Easter.
Looking forward to getting it on track.
