The 2TK had an oil cooler as standard.

The frame numbers for the 2TK do start with 1WG and should be between the range of 1WG-035101 TO 1WG-043000.

Hope this helps.

Try this to help identify other models :)

3en1 bits should fit ... the carbs are different and some of the engine and the exhaust can mounts about an inch further back ... possibly

it is a 2tk, but it's been fightered, tried to convince him it's better original...
he was asking about a 600 engine, do any just drop in like they do for the 3en's? if so what model?
cheers

yep I have 2. One with a fzr600 engine in and one with a thundercat engine in.

The main frame on the 86' Genesis and the 2tk are identical. The 2tk has a lighter Aluminium subrame though.

The engines (fzr600 and thundercat) go straight in with no frame mods..probably the 94 onwards fzr600r engines too but I have never put one in to be sure.

The Thundercat motor makes more power on paper but I had to take it to a dyno shop (£300) to sort the carbs out as I had no room for all the ram air gubbins. The fzr600 engine was less fussy and runs fine without any expensive dyno time. The 89' fzr600 engine had an oil cooler so I'd personally go for a 1990-1993 engine if you go that route.

The other niggles are getting tidy looking exhaust downpipes as the spacing is all different - I had custom made in the end but other people have managed somehow, and getting the airbox to fit under the tank cover (bit fiddly but can be done)

hth
