Well after getting rid of my late mint 99 plate AR back in 06, i kinda regretted it, so i am back with a vengance.
Allow me to present this winters project and object of desire.
My 1997 CRM250AR Plan of attack for this bike, well essentially its good solid bike and the motors sweet (the CRM 2 stroke engine is very very reliable). It will never see any off road and is going to be a pure road weapon.
Full strip over autumn / winter.
Frame refinish and powdercoat.
Engine refresh
Forks rebuilt and annodized in a slightly darker gold and nitrided legs (where does this) with heavier springs.
already got a set of talon gold motard rims to fit.
get the DEP re-chromed
Replace loads of worn and corroded small items with new genuine parts.
Get shock rebuilt.
Strip and check loom (they suffer from water ingress when used off road and rot inside out) and refinish.
try and source a MUGEN CDI (i sold mine with my last AR)
try and source a set of new original panels in the black / red scheme like on my last AR
