Hi, i have recently bought a Suzuki gsxr400 1989, i want to completly strip it out, and overhaul everything i can, engine, electrics, paint etc, i am relativley new to this and it is my first project and just wondering how much money you would think i could do this for and how long it might take me, i would like to get it done by next summer and on the road. I have been told that the bike used to work fine but has not been used to 3 years, any advice appreciated thanks

There is no way of giving you a total amount you are likely to spend,it all depends how far you want to go....
Personally i would check the basics(fuel/spark/o-ring kit etc)and get it running first to see if it`s a worthwhile project and then go from there.
