Hi, what are the best 18inch tyres for track/race use on the rear of a nc30 ?

I'd imagine that the Bridgestone MR02Z YCX or NSH Slick Medium 155/635 R18

Which bridgestone say is ideally suited to a 4.5" Rim will marry up with the NC30 quite well.

For road legal

Either a tried and trusted BT-090 or i've heard the newer BT-014 has good results (The BT-090 is good from experience)

Both available in the 150/60/18

Not tried the newer one but the press-info states it's a newer MotoGP inspired tyre. Will be trying one when I next need a tyre

BT090 are quality. BT014 are old and superseded by 015 and 016

My local shop can get BT090 for approx 130 fitted

if so which shop is that? i need a set and im being quoted around £215 fitted!

the track bike project i bought has a metzeler 18 inch rear and the other spare 18 inch wheel is fitted with a pirelli both well chewed and probably donkeys years old and fit for the skip will be fitting a set of bt090s whilst still available before i even think of doing a trackday on it next year then like the rest of us it looks like having to source a 17 inch rear wheel dammit..
going by previous posts on here am i right in thinking that sport 18 inch tyres are out of production by dunlop and bridgestone now and anything left is old stock

not really. 120 / 160 is stock now on most all sub supersport 600/650 bikes, sv/650r/er/etc. handle great on Miller track
