You will need to wire it up. Its a bodge job and is not recommended

Cut all the wires off and get some good quality insulated male / female spades, or if your feeling fancy you can get an original style connector.

I brought my replacment honda Reg / Rec from ElectrexWorld and it came with a new original connector and 12 months guarantee. (beefier with fins)

Pinouts should be fairly easy to get hold of but if your still having probs when it arrives leave another message and i'll see what I can dig up.

Just cut off the standard connector and solder on some female spade connectors, job done!

Nothing bodgy about it, it will outperform all honda units, and probably lots of aftermarket units.

I'll check tomorrow to see which colour wire goes where for you.

i don't mean this to offend you rich but hearing that makes me feel really glad i didn't take the chance and buy one and bought one from rick oliver instead, you get what you pay for and if you cut corners it only comes round to see you again....

on the R6 reg/rec,it's very common to hear someone is junking the old style units for some new yamahahahahaha ( ) kit so i don't consider it a botch job,if you do it right it should be very reliable and should keep the bike on the road for a very long time, unless you bought a chinese copy of the reg/rec ;)

happy motoring matey

no offence taken bud - i learnt a lesson that day dont buy the cheap crap and find out what others have done to get round problems because chances are someone else has done the same thing befor you.

many thanks for the pic got it wired up but i couldnt work out how to mount it so that it wasnt touching the inside of the fairing. going to have drill new holes i think but im a bit reluctant to start it without seeing what others have done
