Im in the process of converting back to a standard seat unit from a Tyga one and have hit a problem with the seat lock. I have the cable which attactched to the subframe by a bolt and the plastic piece attached to the seat lock itself but i can't see how it all works to hold the pillion seat in place and release it.

Am i missing something or just being thick :)

Thanks.

Do you have the locking mechanism? It should be on the rear subframe bridge nearest to the rear. If you do then the cable should go on to that somewhere. The pillion seat has two hooks that go in to hook retainers on the rear subframe, then when you push it down the metal loop in the pillion seat goes through a hole on the rear bridge, where the locking mechanism goes.

When the pillion seat is put on there is nothing underneath the hook that goes through the furthest back ridge for it to hook onto so I'm guessing I'm missing a piece.

Time to pay a visit to david silvers i presume. Thanks anyway bud :)

Im guessing its part 10 thats missing:

Can anyone confirm this is what the pillion seat hooks into and if anything extra is required apart from that. As said i only have the seat lock and the cable.

Thanks.

Yes that looks to be the piece you're missing. It's a simple spring loaded locking mechanism, like a Yale lock in some respects. When you turn the key, the wire pulls it open.

That looks to be one.
