• What are the best tyres for a NC29

Hiya All,

Can you advise which Tyres out there are good for NC29s - for fast twisty Welsh roads?

Bit of a revelation!
1) I hear that "H" rated tyres are better for the NC29 - alot lighter than "Z" Rated.
("Z" Rated are a bit OTT for the 400cc)

2) Also, Carefully chosen tyres with good profiles would help the bike turn alot better.

knobblies for all the sheep shit.

BT 090's are favoured by most, but i think they are starting to get a bit thin on the ground now in certain sizes (certainly for the NC30 anyway)

BT003's are replacing the 090 and they are very good, ive got them on my B4 and did cadders TD with them.

090's. They are far better than most people can ride.
They are used by the CB500 racers and I hate to say, that although I am fairly quick on track, they were a lot faster than me.
