need some help please

Right firstly some history
I bought the bike 18 months ago and she has always had the smell of fuel around her not bad but enough.

This last week i have had the carbs off and done some work on them clean re-jet and drill ( using carb jetty didy guide) i did fit new float bowl seals i was hoping that was where the leak was but after putting back together i still had a leak so i bought new carb mounts but i stil the leak remains it seems to be somewhere near the right rear carb as i have seen the fuel gathering on the bottom of the float bowl before it runs down onto carb mount but i dont know where else to check ????

could it be the swivel joint between the 2 rear carbs ??

any other suggestions

Dan

have you checked the drain screws are all okay and not cross threaded?

It's usually a sticking float needle that causes the carb to fill up and overflow.

You might have to take them back off and take a look at the float needle valve to see that it's working smoothly and not sticking.

I'm pretty sure i have sorted it now !!!!

i took the the air filter mounting plate off (and what a pig that was to take off and an ever bigger pig to get back on) the top of the carbs which revealed fuel on top of the the right rear swivel fuel joint so i decided to take fuel pipe off and check it over , the pipe looked fine but when i squeezed the end that contected to the swivel it was very soft compared to the other end so i got some new pipe and fitted it , that seems to have sorted the leak had her running for ten minutes on stand and left over night and no sign of fuel .......

well i can now put her back together
