Anyone know how different/ similar the H and L engines are?
A mate races an L model and wants to buy my H engine for spares but I thought
they were quite different, dont want him to buy it to find its useless to him!

straight swap mate ... few internal differences,, but nothing major..

slightly different cam profiles, (depending) different clutch (sometimes) etc etc ..

it ran but one manifold stud has been drilled out way too far!
