Bit of my 4DX gone missing!!

And no idea what it is/was!

Have circled in red on picture, noticed on return from my Sunday morning blat, but doesn't seem to be anything I use but must have been something there before

Can someone please help?
Must say, the bike got LOADS of attention on Sunday AM at Scarborough

Cheers,
Rob

I can't see anything either.
The FZR is one of those bikes thats a bit special, it's not easy to know quite what it is but the more you ride it the better you feel about it.
Re: Bit of my 4DX gone missing!!
I think I still have my 4dx switchgear in the garage. I'll dig it out and have a look but from memory I'm not aware that there is anything missing. Previous owner may have drilled a hole for a reason.......?

Re: Bit of my 4DX gone missing!!
Thanks guys, i'd be interested to see what the 4DX running gear to be retrieved later reveals!! It was defo not like that before i noticed the hole!!
As for the bike, well, must say after having had an NC30 for 6 years, then a CBR6 and then onto 2 x Blades over the last few years, going back to a 400 worried me somewhat, and riding it home after purchase (in shitty cold weather - granted) i was, you could say, pretty uninspired. Even my knees heading toward my chin first time i climbed on and rode had me thinking what have i done!
BUT!! Now i've had a few decent (and fairly rapid!) ride outs on her, the bike has just made me smile, and again reminded me how rewarding thrashing a 400 can be, and the FZR seems to do it all VERY well. Hell, i've even had the missus on the back a couple of times, and although you have to be a bit careful to 'cushion the bumps' on the stock suspenders, i can honestly say it rides better than i ever imagined it would two up and can hustle along a quite a decent pace
Love it!
I'll get some pics up at some point soon, the shiny clean ones are at home

Re: Bit of my 4DX gone missing!!
would the hole have been a self tapper screw with a bracket to stop the headlight being turned off, seen it once on a jap VFR, or RVF! something to do with some law or other in japan. my 95 sp has fulltime headlight, with main beam, and a hazards switch of all things! think this replaces the headlight switch! takes a little getting use to
or this could have been a black grommet, covering the hole, simply fell out
glad ur enjoying your 400, just book yourself into the hospital, get cut off at the knees, loads of room then!!
if only these wee bikes existed when we were 12.
your not the first one to loose something, managed to loose a complete panel, the L shaped bit piece of plastic, just below acelerator, how? I dont know
of course a spare was kindly donated by a very helpful, Mr Evil , thanks again! enjoy the forum

Here's the bike in it's clean/shiny glory
Have also changed the std indicators to some bikeit mini indicators (not on pic) just to tidy it up a little bit more. 13k on the clocks and it's pretty immaculate!!

Thanks for all the replies (but still clueless
lol)
