How many litres does the engine hold and any tips when changing the oil and filter ?
I have a Honda filter and 10-40w semi synthetic motorex oil , thanks

According to haynes 2.5 litres for an oil and filter change, 2.4 without the filter

Use a new sump plug gasket

Do you not have the original sticker next to the oil cap!? It's on there!

And to change the oil..

Run the bike until it's nice and toasty. (keep it level rather than running it on the sidestand)

Turn it off and using a spanner (17mm) undo the sump nut (becareful the sump and oil will be really hot!)

Becuase it's hot the oil is thinner and flows better.

Have a bowl ready and drain the old oil into it (make sure it's heat-resistant)

Your going to be using approx 2.4 litres without the filter and 2.6 litres with the filter (change the filter too though!)

After letting the oil fully drain whip the filter off (becareful of heat and drippping oil)

use a smear of the old oil to lubricate the rubber grommet on the new oil filter and screw it on tight but hand tighten only.

Replace the sump plug and preferably use a new aluminimum crush washer (i've re-used old ones in the past in a pinch but there only about 40p)

Make sure the bike is level and not leaning on a hill and slowly refill the oil.. start with about 2 litres.. wipe the dipstick and rest it on and measure the oil, repeat until its at the max mark.

I went out on the bike earlier and the battery went died on me , then it lost power at 5rpm and wouldn't rev any higher and wen u let power off the throttle the bike would cut off and back fire losing all power and stall ?
I might need to just charge the battery but it still would bump start
When i took the right side back side panel off were the battery Is the little coil that is connected to the battery the fuse in there has melted ?? Only the plastic thou !!
What is this coil for and should the bike charge the battery if flat ??

Thats the starter solenoid and main fuse.

Thats what engages the starter when you press the button.

Sounds like you have electrical issues if thats melted! Never seen one melt myself. Wiring short perhaps?

Thanks neo, I'll charge battery and go for a test ride , defo got a slight problem some were

before you ride it get a multimeter on the battery, check the reg/rec has popped, my solenoid cap melted a bit when the regulator popped.

Would the regulator cause u to lose power ? It's only happened a few time, but when it does, if u take the fuse out the starter soliord and put it back in , problem sloved till it decide to go

Ah I know.

You have a bad fitting / corroded fuse or terminals.

That main fuse handles a lot of juice.. if the connection is bad then it will cause heat to build up and go melty melty.

Get a new fuse and get a small wire brush in on the termianals that hold the fuse and make sure everythign is spick and span.

Spray some WD40 / contact cleaner in there too to make it nice and clean
