You'll be wanting something like this. No idea if this one will fit, but someone on here will know.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HONDA-CBR-250 ... 3cb8cd964b

Otherwise it is common practise to find any manky old socket that's close to the right diameter and get crazy with a bench grinder until you have what you need.

Are you doing this just for a service, or do you want to get your arm powdercoated or similar? If removing them, you will have to replace the two ball bearings and one needle bearing in the swingarm. Inspect and maybe replace the needle bearing's sleeve if required. Otherwise just inspect all and relube the needle bearing.

There are more bearings to inspect and lube / replace in the linkages.

i know thats what i need, like i mentioned i had a scout on the bay, the do the 250, 600 and 1000 and 900 but not 100% on the 900 one..

ive been suggested to use a hammer and screw driver and also been told it can fuck things up :(

It can certainly make a mess of the finish to do that.

Email the guy with the dimensions of your nut, sure he will tell you if his tool fits. Probably find there's only one or two sizes for Hondas in general.

what about replacing the bearings and fitting again? is it a simple job? can it be done by 1 man or a 2 man job?

I expect you'll find that the NC30 tool fits the NC23, I know the Abba stand fittings are the same, so it may be worth a look

Needle bearings can be tricky as they tend to collapse. But yes it's a one man job. You will need a long drift, about a foot in length will do.

Don't re use bearings, they'll be no good after you've drifted them out. And are probably 20 years old anyway. Does the 23 use a circlip on the ball side, anyone with direct experience of that model? 29 doesn't but you never know.

NC23 uses a circlip on the right hand side, just lever out the dust seal and it's under it.
