Rick Oliver does a fairing bolt set that consists of a countersunk screw and countersunk washers. I think there's 11 in total and you'd need 4 quick release bolts and fixings for the mids. I'll take a pic if you want.

Here you are for an image at least:
http://www.cmsnl.com/honda-vfr400r3-199 ... _3100.html
For the lowers there are 2 lower/rear bolts and rubber washers - no. 9 and 35
and two upper/front long bolts and spacers - no 23, 43
Side panels there are 4x captive (2 on each side) - no.18?
and 2x normal bolts (1 on each side) - no.19
2x screws for the infils - no.46
To fix lowers to front 'v' there are 3x bolts - no.44
To fix front 'v' to headlight cowl 4x plastic screws - no.41
Front cowl 1x bolt @ front - no.31
Rest attach though the mirrors I think.
Then rear seat unit:
http://www.cmsnl.com/honda-vfr400r3-199 ... _1500.html
x6 bolts - no.22
These are the main ones that I usually take out when removing parts, there may be some that I missed but from the pics on this site you should be able to work out what else you might need.
Get the bolts from either rick oliver or graeme france on the forum or david silvers or lings if they do them.
Hope that helps! (Yes i'm bored at work!).

I think it's 4 17mm dzus fasteners on the fronts, you can get them from ebay for a decent price, all of the others are just standard screws, and from memory cost about £25 delivered from DSS IIRC

It's the 1/4 turn screws that are the expenive bit, £28.13 plus post form DSS!!!!!

any fastener and fixing shop will sell bolts, screws, washers etc. dont pay over price coz some monkey has spent 5 mins putting them into a little plastic pouch. duz are the exception, ebay will find you these though.
i hate places like pro bolts and the likes, ok, some parts are ok like parts you cant buy elsewhere, one off parts/bolts but the rest are just standard ones with a fat $ mark stamped next to it

. there s ways round it too if you have say a flanged head bolt with a grip on its underside etc. rant over lol

Sorry for the delay Pete. This is what RO's fairing bolts look like.
