Front Brake master cylinder, and tips on how to take it apart
I have stripped it down as far as I can, but how do you remove the angled supply pipe which the pipe from the brake fluid reservoir connects too, I have removed the circlip, but its stuck like shite to a blanket, do i need too remove this to get the internals out, as I have the refurb kit for it

, after doing the calipers i might as well go the whole hog and do the master cylinder, as the mot is booked in for friday pm

you just need to pull it out i used some pliers with a bit of kitchen roll to protect it from marks and wiggled it left and right, just take your time mate,
have you got an overhaul kit for it?
i have one going spare minus the rubber boot that the lever touches near to
all new seals and shaft,

I have pulled it about wiggled it, literally to the point it was going to snap, I mean its stuck real fast, not tried the pliers approach though. will give it a go, bummer is, if it breaks, I doubt I will get one before friday

Why do you want to remove it for? If you feel you really must then keep pulling, there is nothing but friction holding it in. For the life of me though I can't see why you would remove it. You don't need to in order to do the rebuild. To do that just remove the
circlip.

Let me guess, perished top hat? 1) you can get them as a separate spare from DSS, 2) this is why we don't use mineral grease on rubber seals.

yeah can get the separate from DSS but when you can win one on ebay for 99p as a full unused set youd be silly to miss that one, hence why i offered a spare refurb kit

only bid to get the tophat rubber
and i shall whack some red rubber grease in when i next out there,
cheers Mort
