Swing arm/Paddock stand bobbins
Obviously the standard 3TJ swing arm doesn't have anywhere to attach some bobbins for use with paddock stands that have the hooks on so i was wondering if there are any easy modifications that can be done to create a mounting point?
I've been using a paddock stand that has cups on but its not very secure and 2 of my house mates have had it collapse while their bikes were on it (leading to quite a few scratched panels, pulled backs and lots of swearing!) and i don't want this to happen to me.

Re: Swing arm/Paddock stand bobbins
you can get a bit of ally bar bout 20mm diameter welded to the underside, and tap it to take the bobbins. I think it's the sp that has these as standard but i know of a couple of people that have had this done for race bikes.
Shouldn't cost much to have done and doesn't look out of place.

If it's not a track bike then you could buy an Abba Superbike Stand they're the most solid stand you can get

Re: Swing arm/Paddock stand bobbins
an abba stand is probably the best, but cost a bit, £100 ish,
i go with modified cups on a normal paddock stand,
just make sure there wide enough,
the left side (chain side) is no problem but the right side needs to be wide enough to cope with the brake line
bracket on the inside of the swinger,
i just got some new cups made for the job @ £20
